Blade Maidens: Dead in the Water – 14
“Derecho is perhaps the most fickle of the gods of our realm. The Gale Caller. The Flood Tender. The Ice Prince. Their domain has more direct impact on our every day lives, with not even the tunnel-dwelling miners and mushroom-tenders of Valfald being immune from their whims.
And yet we know so little of them. Their priests are few and far between, and those that exist have little formalized structure. No grand temples or cathedrals, to call upon their aid for a swift rain to end drought or a cease to a stubborn blizzard occurs within the home. A weather-priest may be hired, if you are lucky to find one, but even Derecho’s chosen can only ask for their patron’s favor and have no way to guarantee it will be granted.
Every time you feel the wind on your face, the rain on your back, the frost in your beard, know that the Cloud Dancer is with you. For they always are.”
– A passage from Musings on The Divine by Ueda Kolhan, philosopher.
