Blade Maidens: Dead in the Water – 11

“There is some debate amongst scholars and priests alike over the gods of the fish-men.

Some think that they have their own scaled and finned dieties down there under the waves. Nameless gods and goddesses that have not seen the light of Sulna.

Others think they share our gods, although through a different lens. What use is Derecho’s mastery of snow and wind in a realm that knows neither? Dar the Beast Lord’s great furred hide would serve no purpose in the depths of the sea. Would they view him as some sort of shark? The merfolk aren’t saying.

I’m no learned man, but I’ve lived my entire life on the sea and coast. And the handful of times I’ve encountered those who dwell below, I’ve noticed a fair few idols and trinkets that remind me of our lady of the waves. Perhaps they are even more favored by Mara? Her truest children?

This is hurting my head. Enough for today.”
