Blade Maidens: Dead in the Water – 16

“I stand alone– the shore is ash, the night dark and dismal pitch around me

In the distance. Light. Hope. A flame (cutting through the ink of night?? Cutting too much, maybe??)

Not a lighthouse. But a man just as warm and pure. Walking (striding?) those familiar steps

Where we met. Where we kissed upon the dock tasted the salt-kiss of Mara on lips, tongue, flesh

No matter where the winds carry me. No matter which port I call home.

My true home will always be in your arms. (Nice. Solid work, Galt)

Against your chest. Feeling your heartbeat the steady drum within.

I will be yours again. (And you will be mine? I already am. I always have been. Don’t know the dynamic. Gotta dig more)”

  • A partially completed poem by Captain Galt, with revisions from Melody Havensbrook
